How to Increase System’s Speed

Slow speed is a common problem to everyone’s. We load too much items in our PC without any need. That’s why system takes so much time to process. That is true System speed depends on its configuration. System’s Hard Disk, RAM, etc is responsible for it.

But there are some more options to using them you can increase systems speed.

Make free “Desktop” and “My Document” folder

Desktop should be always free. Do not save files on desktop. We guys always for our facility, keep the files on desktop. It makes system heavy. If your system is working slowly, first empty “Desktop” and “My Document” files. Keep these files on another drive. If you think you can forget your files after saving another drive. There is a solution, you can make a folder in other drive and rename the folder “Desktop Files” or “Desktop”. And create a “Shortcut” on desktop of this folder. And make a habit to save all files to this “Folder”.

Delete “Temporary” and “Prefetch” files

Temporary files are those files which system generates automatically. Whatever we work on system it create backup automatic of the files. If we don’t delete them, these files remains on system and effects system speed. So it is necessary we should delete these files time to time. This is so easy.

Go to Start Menu, Click "All Programs" Now to go "Accessories" and Click “RUN”

Or Press “Windows Button + R”

After opening a small Run window, type in the open box “%Temp%” and press “OK”.

Select all file and delete these files.

Again go to same window and type here “Prefetch” Click “OK”

And delete all files.

Defragmentation

Disk Defragmenter Software provided by Windows by default. This is allocated in programs file. Defragmenter fragments the files. It manages and reduces all files sizes. But question is how to defragment the drives? Answer is very simple.

Click “Start” button. Go to “Accessories” then click “System Tools” then click “Disk Defragmenter” Or other option is open “My Computer” select any drive, right click on the same drive choose “Properties”. Now click “Tools” tab then click “Defragment Now”.

After open Disk Defragmenter program. There you will show all the drives. Select the drive which one you want defragments first. Now click “Defragment Disk”. Don’t close the program in between processing.

Cleanup Hard Disk

Clean your disks unnecessary files time to time. Unwanted files become automatically on the system. These are bugs, temporary files, cookies and backup files. This is very important to clean these files. Clean these files are pretty easy.

Open “My computer” Here you will see all drives “(C,D,E,F etc). Choose any drive and right click. Go to “Properties” click “General” tab, Click “Disk Cleanup”. After click there will an option “File to delete”. Select all options, now press “OK”.

Uninstall unused software/toolbars

Don’t install too much softwares on system without any need. Only install usable softwares. Many times we install any using software, in this software there is other softwares or toolbars attached like Yahoo Toolbar, Ask Toolbar, Tune-Up software etc install on system. They are no need. Just uninstall these type toolbars and softwares.
